New Charges For Mastic Beach Man Accused Of Placing Camera In Dressing Room
RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Mastic Beach man who was arrested last month for allegedly placing a video camera in a dressing room at a fashion show over the summer is facing new charges.
Robert Liguori is set to be arraigned on two additional indictments on Wednesday, authorities said.
The 51-year-old pleaded not guilty in September to five counts of unlawful surveillance in the second degree in connection with the July 12 incident.
Liguori, who had been hired as a photographer at a Southampton swimsuit fashion show in July, allegedly placed a hidden video camera inside a dressing room and recorded women changing, police said.
One of the victims spotted the camera and reported it to authorities.
More than five women were videotaped while changing clothes, the Suffolk County district attorney's office said. The new indictments will likely involve the unlawful recording of more victims, officials said.
He is being held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
Liguori is in the NY sex offender registry for his 1998 arrest and subsequent conviction of trafficking in child pornography, prosecutors said.
