Massa's N.Y. Congressional Seat Likely To Go To GOP
CORNING, N.Y. (AP) -- Republicans are eyeing a Congressional district in New York as a key stepping stone in their campaign to regain power in the U.S. House.
The 29th Congressional District stretches from New York's southern tier to the suburbs of Rochester.
First-term Congressman Eric Massa gave up the seat six months ago, citing an illness, as reports surfaced that male staffers had accused the Democrat of sexual harassment.
Polls show Republican candidate Tom Reed with a double-digit lead over Democrat Matt Zeller.
