Martina McBride, Carole King, Jennifer Hudson, And More On PBS Special Tonight
Martina McBride will be performing on the television special From Dust To Dreams: Opening Night at The Smith Center For The Performing Arts, which airs on PBS stations tonight (Sept. 21) at 9pm.
Hosted by actor Neil Patrick Harris, the star-studded show will also feature Jennifer Hudson, country stars Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Emmylou Harris, as well as singer-songwriter Carole King, Train lead singer Pat Monohan, John Fogerty, Mavis Staples, and others.
McBride is set to perform a never-before-seen duet of “A Song For You” with Pat Monahan (her “Marry Me” duet partner). She will also team up with Carole King and Jennifer Hudson for what is sure to be a memorable performance of “Natural Woman.”
“I am so honored to have been a part of the Smith Center’s opening night,” said Martina. “I am excited for viewers at home to see how magical the night was performing with some of the most iconic names in music.”
Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard will perform their ever-popular rendition of the classic Townes Van Zandt song “Pancho & Lefty,” and will later join Emmylou Harris for the Haggard favorite “Ramblin’ Fever.”
The show features something for every taste and will be represented by country, rock, dance, Broadway, classical and soul. To see the complete cast list check out the cast card!
The Smith Center is a new cultural center in downtown Las Vegas that opened just this past March.
