Manhattan Waters To Fill Up With Paddleboarders
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - The waters around Manhattan will be filled with paddling surfers this morning.
It may look kind of odd, as WCBS 880's Levon Putney reports from Pier 40.
SEAPaddle NYC organizer Andrew Mencinsky says, "Yeah. These are called stand-up paddleboards."

Over 150 paddlers will be on what are basically oversized surfboards.
"Starting up the Hudson, past the Intrepid, then down all the way past the George Washington Bridge," says Mencinsky.
They will go all way around Manhattan to the South Street Seaport.
It's SEAPaddle NYC's fourth year.

Mencinsky says, "Fifty percent of our proceeds go to fund eight different autism organizations."
They'll be raising money by going 28 miles and about 5 and a half hours.
"It's like running a marathon and then some," says Mencinsky, who will be one of the brave men attempting this feat.
