Woman Dead, Teenage Girl Injured After Being Hit By Vehicle In Manhasset
MANHASSET, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was killed and her teenage daughter was injured late Tuesday, when they were struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Manhasset, Long Island.
The accident happened Tuesday evening at 1900 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset, Nassau County police said.
The woman and her 15-year-old daughter were crossing the street, but were not at a crosswalk, when they were struck, police said.
The mother was pronounced dead at an area hospital after the accident, police said. The teenage girl's condition was not immediately available.
The driver remained at the scene and will not be charged, police said.
