"I saw a man with a walker and all of a sudden he fell over on his side on to the tracks," said Molly Stark Dean, New Media liaison at CBS Radio News, who was there when it happened. "He kind of wobbled a little and then fell sideways."
Dean found a few Good Samaritans on the platform, including an EMT, who managed to hoist the man off the tracks and back up on the platform.
Dean said the man appeared to be okay after the rescue, though he was moaning a bit.
There was a friendly greeting on a piece of cardboard affixed to the walker. It said "Merry Christmas."
