Man Survives 20-Foot Fall Off NYC Train Tracks
NEW YORK (AP) -- A city transit employee overseeing maintenance work survived falling more than 20 feet from elevated train tracks to the street below.
Kent Morgan, 50, was hospitalized after the plunge around 11 a.m. Saturday from the 7 train stop near Roosevelt Avenue and 114th Street in Queens.
His family said he suffered a fractured elbow, broken ankle and a head gash from the fall.
Officials with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority told the Daily News that Morgan had been overseeing a switch replacement.
