Man Struck And Killed By Train At Union Square Station
NEW YORK (AP) -- Authorities say a man has been struck and killed by a subway train in Manhattan.
The accident occurred at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Square subway station.
NYC Transit says service on the L line has been suspended until further notice between Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan.
Police say the 69-year-old man was struck by a Brooklyn-bound L train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity was being withheld pending family notification.
Police say no criminality was suspected.
