Man Stabbed On Crowded 4 Train In Brooklyn
CROWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (CBS 2) -- There were scary moments for straphangers aboard a city subway as a man was stabbed on a crowded train Tuesday afternoon.
Sources tell CBS 2 that the incident, which occurred on a 4 train heading towards Manhattan, was the result of a fight between two men. One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the other before pulling out a hammer and pummeling that same man in the head with it.
The fight occurred as the train approached the Utica Avenue station in Brooklyn at about 2:45.
The station was temporarily closed as a result. The vicitim is in critical condition, but is talking to police. He said he does know his attacker from the neighborhood, leading police to believe the fight may have been gang related.
