Man Pleads Guilty To Calling In Bomb Threat Against Paladino Campaign HQ
BUFFALO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A New York City man has admitted phoning in a bomb threat to the Buffalo campaign headquarters of former gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino.
Miles Fisher pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Buffalo to making a harassing and threatening phone call. He faces up to two years in prison when he's sentenced on August 25.
Prosecutor Robert Moscati says Fisher called the "Paladino for the People" headquarters inside a Paladino-owned office building last April 13th and told a campaign worker he was going to "bomb all of you."
The call forced the evacuation of more than 700 people from the building and launched an investigation by law enforcement's Joint Terrorism Task Force.
Paladino was defeated in the election by Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
