Man Lying In Road Struck By Car In Uniondale
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman struck and killed a man who was lying in the road early Saturday in Nassau County.
The 23-year-old woman was headed north on Uniondale Avenue in Uniondale at 12:58 a.m. Saturday, Nassau County police said.
The man suffered multiple injuries, and was taken to a local hospital, where he was reported in serious, but stable, condition, police said.
Police as of late Saturday afternoon did not know why the man was lying in the road.
The vehicle was impounded for safety reasons, but detectives said no criminality was believed to have occurred.
