Man Driving ATV In Park Kills Dog Out For A Walk
YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) -- Police say a man driving an all-terrain vehicle in a park where he shouldn't have been hit and killed a dog out for an evening walk. The impact threw the man from the ATV, and he broke his collarbone.
Authorities say the man and a companion were riding ATVs on a bike path in Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers on Saturday around 6:30 p.m., even though there are signs banning the machines.
The Journal News reported that a woman was walking her two dogs along the path, when the ATV hit one of the animals.
