DEER PARK, NY (WCBS 880/1010 WINS) -- A Long Island man has been charged with robbing at least eight taxi cab drivers since February.
It was at the Deer Park train station Wednesday that police say Marcel Cobb of Wyandanch got into a Best Ride Taxi Company cab around 6:30 a.m. and told the driver to take him a few miles away to West 23rd Street.

When they got to the location, police say the 31-year-old grabbed the taxi driver's money, cell phone, and even his car keys before running away.
Suffolk County Police tell WCBS 880 reporter Sophia Hall that they caught up with Cobb about 45 minutes later and arrested him.
Cobb has been charged, not only for that crime, but also for allegedly robbing seven other taxi drivers after getting into cabs at the Wyandanch and Brentwood train stations.
