Man Arrested Following Police-Involved Shooting In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 31-year-old man wounded in a police-involved shooting in Brooklyn has been arrested.
Alexis McIntyre was charged Wednesday with criminal possession of a weapon.
Around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to 456 Glenmore Avenue in East New York after receiving a report that a man who was squatting in the building was in possession of a gun.
A sergeant and three officers arrived on the scene and saw McIntyre peering out of the front window before a fourth officer saw him try to flee out the back door, police said.
McIntyre was confronted by the officer who ordered him to drop his weapon, police said.
McIntyre refused and the officer shot him once in the torso, police said.
McIntyre was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.
Officers recovered a .38-caliber revolver at the scene, police said. A search of the home also turned up another gun.
