Man Accused Of Fondling Woman Outside L.I. 7-Eleven
EAST NORTHPORT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday arrested a man who allegedly fondled a female customer outside a 7-Eleven store.
The 48-year-old woman allegedly walked into the 7-Eleven at 223 Laurel Road in East Northport at around 2 a.m. to buy a cup of coffee, Suffolk County police said.
When the woman walked out of the convenience store, the man allegedly followed her outside to the parking lot, grabbed her, and began touching her inappropriately, police said.
The woman tried to get away, but was prevented from doing so as the suspect held her and began pushing her toward the back of the building, police said.
The man tried to kiss the woman several times and exposed himself, police said. The woman escaped, but was able to break free and told the 7-Eleven clerk she had been attacked.
Suffolk County 2nd Precinct patrol officers, Second Squad detectives and K-9 officers set up a perimeter immediately afterward, but the assailant was nowhere to be found, police said. But around 7:25 a.m., Officer Frank Muoio was canvassing the area and found a man matching the description of the suspect in the area where the attack occurred, police said.
Juan Buesoramos, 25, of East Northport, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse. He was also charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument for allegedly showing investigators a fake U.S. resident alien card.
Buesoramos was set to be arraigned Wednesday at Suffolk County First District Court in Central Islip.
