Major New York City-Area Airports To Reopen On Monday
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Officials say the three major New York City-area airports will resume most flights Monday morning after shutting down because of Tropical Storm Irene.
The Port Authority, which operates the airports, says John F. Kennedy International and Newark Liberty International airports will open to arriving flights at 6 a.m. Monday. Departures will resume at noon.

LaGuardia Airport reopens to both arrivals and departures at 7 a.m. Monday.
The continuing closure of the three airports threatened travel delays for much of the country.
Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark are among the busiest airports in the nation.
The smaller Stewart International Airport in the city's northern suburbs was to resume flights Monday. Teterboro in New Jersey suffered flooding. It remains closed.
Together, all five airports serve 1.2 million flights and 104 million passengers annually.
