Head to Delhi Heights, one of many incredible Indian restaurants in Jackson Heights, for a lovely lunch buffet that runs about $10 and includes a nice variety of dishes. A nice introduction to Indian cuisine if you're not already familiar; if you'd prefer to order a la carte, the extensive menu affords you the opportunity as well. The aloo gobi is a particular treat: potatoes and cauliflower tossed with various spices, you won't miss the meat while eating!

There's been plenty of talk of burgers lately, so instead we'll turn our focus to a rare treat that can be found at Corner Burger: poutine, or that Quebecois classic dish of fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. Corner Burger not only serves an excellent classic poutine, they serve over ten different variations on the same theme. Poutine cochon (pictured above) comes topped with pulled pork and barbecue sauce, but there's also poutine italienne, which switches out the traditional gravy for marinara sauce. These dishes are big enough to eat as a meal itself, or go with a friend and split an order while having a burger. You can even finish the meal with a dessert poutine: sweet potato fries dusted with cinnamon sugar and topped with maple syrup.
Excellent Pork Chop House

As the name suggests, Excellent Pork Chop House serves excellent pork chops. There are plenty of other dishes available, but when you go to the Excellent Pork Chop House, you should order the pork chop over rice. A deep fried pork chop, crispy and juicy, served over fluffy white rice along with pickled mustard greens, serves as quite a delicious and filling lunch option. Add a tea egg for that protein boost, or, for heartier eaters, add on another pork chop alone for just $2.50, and roll on out the door, ready for your afternoon nap. Yum.
