Pizza Classica

89-89 Union Turnpike
Glendale, NY 11385
(718) 847-5001

Hidden within the Stop&Shop shopping center, Pizza Classica sits to one side unassumingly. Enter, however, and you will be greeted with a warm decor, and a standard by-the-slice counter on the left, with a dining room on the right that's split into one side for table service and the other side for those who just want to grab a quick slice or two. Try the buffalo chicken pizza (pictured); nicely spiced with a good kick, you'll reach for the blue cheese to cool your mouth as you eat. The Sicilian is also a great bite; if pizza isn't your thing, they have plenty of pastas, panini, heroes and classic Italian entrees as well. Check the website for coupons!

Revd Up Pi

451 3rd Avenue

New York, NY 10016

Slices of pizza that clock in at 170 calories each? Yes, please! Swimsuit season may be ending, but most people are eyeing the scale as holiday seeason approaches, wondering where that extra 5 pounds came from. Indulge in one of your favorite foods without the extra calories, and save them for the winter: Rev'd Up Pi claims to have pizza that's both low calorie and tasty - slices range from 100 calories (vim & vigor - a vegetarian pizza) to 290 calories (free range Buffalo chicken - pizza topped with a lightly spicy Buffalo dressing). Feel free to eat your way through the menu, because nothing is that calorically heavy to make you think twice.

Del Posto

85 10th Avenue
New York, NY 10011
(212) 497-8090
delposto.com/

When Del Posto first opened in 2005, it was lauded as an over-the-top, gilded lily addition to the Batali empire. Since then, the restaurant has found its groove and settled down a bit, content to exist happily on the quiet stretch of 10th Avenue that it occupies. One of the best things to come from Del Posto is certainly its $29 three course prix fixe lunch menu, allowing you to choose an antipasto, primo OR secondo, and a dolce. The menu changes to reflect the seasons, but what doesn't change is the amount of care that goes into each dish that comes from the kitchen. Choose wisely - or just come back next week to order what you missed this week. The desserts are heavenly as well (pictured: chocolate ricotta tortino with Sicilian pistachios and olive oil gelato); even nicer is all the extras they bring you with your dessert. A great bargain can be had while still spoiling yourself at Del Posto.
