Long Island Woman Killed In 2-Car Crash
SHIRLEY, N.Y. (AP) -- Police said a 29-year-old woman was killed in a two-car collision on Long Island.
They said Jeanine Rescigno was driving southbound on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley at 9:30 p.m. Monday when the accident occurred.
Police said the West Sayville resident struck the rear of a Hyundai as she approached an intersection. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the other car, 24-year-old Amanda Zawada of Lake Ronkonkoma, was treated for minor injuries.
Both cars have been impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing.
