"A normal training day is probably getting in two to three hours of training," Michta told WCBS 880's Sophia Hall. "[I do] regular cardio, intervals and distance. And there's also being in the gym, being in the weight room."
Michta is leaving for London to compete in the race walk.
"Hard is an understatement," Michta admitted. "I've been training for years, with the dream in the back of my mind the whole time. And as of 2010 I really believed in myself, that this is my time."
And how about taking home that coveted gold medal?
"It's just the experience to be out there," Michta said. "I'm just going out there to experience everything and take it all in."
