Long Island Driver Faces DWI Charge After Wrong-Way Crash
BOHEMIA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man is facing several charges after police said he drove the wrong way on a highway while intoxicated.
Juan Maravilla, 56, was arrested Sunday night after crashing his minivan into another vehicle on the westbound Sunrise Highway in Bohemia, police said.
The other driver suffered minor injuries, but refused medical attention.
Maravilla is expected to be arraigned Monday on driving while intoxicated and reckless endangerment charges at First District Court in Central Islip.
His car has been impounded as evidence, police said.
