Living Large: Take A Tour Through A Greenwich, Connecticut Castle
GREENWICH, Conn. (CBS 2) -- Greenwich is no stranger to opulence and luxury.
CBS 2's Emily Smith got a tour of a $17.5 million castle fit for a prince and princess -- the stuff fairy tales are made of.
The tour is the latest in CBS 2's "Living Large" series.
The mansion has a massive great room with 30-foot ceilings and a separate living room with Gothic arch windows and plenty of dining space.
However, what the homeowner really fell in love with was the stone entrance stairway and cut out windows, reminiscent of a scene from Romeo and Juliet.
The five-story stone mansion also encompasses 9 acres, authentic English-inspired gardens and a heated swimming pool.
Some of the most interesting details include the antique French floors that are 200 years old and an antique chestnut counter in the midst of a fully updated kitchen with every amenity.
