Living Large: Explore Inside A $5 Million Mansion In Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBS 2) -- Where do supermodels, rock stars and Academy Award-winning actors hang out when they're not in Manhattan?
The answer may surprise you -- Yonkers. The hot spot mansion known as Greystone Court is on the market and reporter Emily Smith got to take a tour inside the one-of-a-kind palace as part of CBS 2's Living Large series.
The 8,500 square-foot home is on sale for $4.95 million.
In European Fashion, the foyer leads straight to the ballroom, which has a 17th century English ceiling that was brought over from across the pond. The ceiling of the ballroom is insured at more than $1 million.
The house features 11 fireplaces, including one made of amethyst, topaz and other semi-precious jewels encrusted in the structure.
The home even has a chapel.
On the second floor, there are six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
The mansion generates hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for the homeowner, who rents it out to American Vogue, Chanel and Victoria's Secret.
The homeowner said Greystone Court has been looked at by singer Prince, and the music video for Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" was shot at the mansion.
