LIRR Sees Schedule Changes Monday
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you're headed to the Long Island Rail Road, you better check the new schedules going into effect Monday.
Commuters will welcome most of the changes, including the restoration of weekend half-hourly service on the Babylon Branch and additional afternoon service to Hampton Bays.
However, one of two tracks on the main line will be out of service so workers can install new track ties.
That means a slight shift in departure times for a handful of midday trains to Huntington.
Similar track work on the Montauk Line meant customers would be provided with bus service.
