LIRR Service Changes After Person Struck By Train In Woodside, Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Long Island Rail Road riders are facing some delays Friday morning after a person was struck by a train in Woodside, Queens.
Police were on the scene of the incident, which happened around 5 a.m. near the Woodside station.
Westbound service was suspended for a time between Jamaica and Penn Station followed by delays, cancellations and diversions during the morning rush.
Service has since been restored, but trains are still seeing delays between 15 and 20 minutes.
