Police Search For Driver After Pedestrian Struck And Killed On Shoulder Of LIE
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed along the Long Island Expressway early Monday morning.
The victim was walking on the shoulder of the westbound lanes when he was hit around 5:30 a.m. near exit 19.
Police are searching for the driver, who they say fled the scene.
All lanes were closed at Queens Boulevard, and traffic was directed to the outer roadway.
