Lenox Road Baptist Church Holds Gun Buyback Event
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Lenox Road Baptist Church is East Flatbush is holding a gun buyback event for people looking to turn in their guns for cash.
Those looking to participate in the buyback program will receive $200 for a working handgun or assault rife and $25 for a shotgun.
One woman told 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera that she was inspired to give back her three handguns in the wake of Wednesday's mass shootings in San Bernardino, where 14 people were killed.
"That very, very sad thing that's happened this week in this country. And past in France -- something really has to be done."
"Enough is enough -- I don't need that," she said. "I really don't."
