Leaders, Lawmakers To Discuss Immigration In NJ
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Immigration issues will be the focus of the annual leadership conference of New Jersey's Human Relations Council.
Its theme: "Bringing us together.''
Tuesday's conference in Trenton will honor the work of a range of individuals and organizations, from the Monroe Township Police Department to representatives from the Latin American Coalition.
The New Jersey Legislature created the state-level Human Relations Council in 1997 to address issues of prejudice, bias and violence based on race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender or disability.
