Lawmakers Consider Ways To Prevent Cheating On College Entrance Exams
GREAT NECK, NY (CBSNewYork) - In response to the SAT cheating scandal on Long Island, lawmakers are proposing ideas to prevent fraud and cheating on college entrance exams.

Identification embedded with DNA, multiple photo IDs, and test documents with watermarks are some of the solutions being considered as a way to stop college entrance exams cheating.
The State Senate also looking at tougher penalties against cheaters.
Suffolk County Senator Kenneth LaValle wants to make cheating on college entrance exams a crime. He released a draft bill Tuesday making the crime a felony, punishable by prison sentences.
It's all fine with Great Neck resident Matthew Handleman.
"I feel they should do whatever they have to do to make sure that the students who deserve to get the good grades get them, and that there aren't people that slip through the cracks," he told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.
To date, 24 former and current students have been charged in the SAT cheating scandal that surfaced in Great Neck.
