LaGuardia Airport AirTrain Project Placed On Hold Over Environmental Impact Concerns
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- LaGuardia Airport's $2 billion AirTrain project is on hold.
The Port Authority had hoped to start construction this month, but community groups and some members of Congress have raised concerns about the environmental impact.
A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration says officials need more time to review the project's plans.
The FAA should issue a decision soon.
