The Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 shows will be taped for a documentary on Gaga's "Monster Ball'' tour. The concert special will be televised on May 7, two weeks before the singer releases her highly-anticipated sophomore album "Born This Way."
The special will be directed by one of Lady Gaga's choreographers, Lauriann Gibson.
The tour has paid homage to Gaga's New York City roots. The concert plays out like a pop-opera taking on a "Wizard Of Oz" theme as Gaga and her friends get lost in New York on their way to the "Monster Ball." Though it's hard to imagine Gaga being able to top the show, which even featured a blood fountain, HBO promised Gaga will bring some brand new moves to the special.
The queen of gore and glamous was carried into the Grammys Sunday in a giant egg before performing the title track to her upcoming album put. She won three Grammys for her latest album "The Fame Monster''. (Check out the other Grammy winners here!)
