Lady Gaga Unveils 'Flying Dress' At Brooklyn Event
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Lady Gaga has taken yet another leap up the superstardom scale with what she bills as the world's first flying dress.
On Sunday, the "Applause'' singer unveiled a high-tech, white vehicle that lifted her up inside a mammoth building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a defunct shipyard developed for commercial use.
The contraption has six booms in a hex formation and is powered by batteries.

The 27-year-old New York entertainer said later that this was "maybe a small step for Volantis'' -- as she calls the metal dress -- but "a big-time step'' for Lady Gaga.
Her ultimate goal, she says, is to stage the first musical performance from space.
Meanwhile, a temporary art exhibit titled "Artpop Pop Up: Lady Gaga Gallery'' opened Monday to celebrate the release of her third album "ARTPOP."
The three-day exhibit on 417 West 14th Street will be open from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. through Wednesday.
