L.I. Woman Claims Police Broke Her Legs During Arrest
SHOREHAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island woman has claimed a police officer broke her legs as she was being arrested on a recent misdemeanor charge.
As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, Louise Sigsimondi, a 37-year-old mother of two, now sits in a wheelchair after she claims two Suffolk County officers pulled her from the front steps of her Shoreham home.

She said they would not tell her why she was being arrested.
Sigsimondi claimed the officers dragged her to the squad car, and once she was inside, she said both of her legs were broken when an officer used all of his body weight to straighten out her legs.
"They're broken very high, up right into the knee joint," she said.
Sigsimondi is just over 5 feet tall and barely 100 pounds.
"I mean, I felt the crack, and I screamed and I yelled," she said.
Suffolk County police said Sigsimondi was arrested for criminal mischief for allegedly scratching her estranged husband's car. She has denied the charge.
Police would not comment on anything that happened at the scene.
Sigsimondi's attorney, Scott Gross of Garden City, said he plans to sue.
