L.I. Photo Studio Owner Pleads Not Guilty To Allegedly Filming Employees In Bathroom
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - A Long Island photographer accused of secretly filming his female employees in the bathroom has pleaded not guilty.
As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, 39-year-old William Iglesias was charged with second degree unlawful surveillance when he was arrested at his studio on Monday afternoon. He was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Tuesday and was being held on $50,000 bond.
Suffolk County Police said Iglesias, the owner of Foto Y Video Alexander in Brentwood, installed a video camera on the floor behind the toilet and, for at least a month, videotaped his two female employees.

One of the women discovered the images on Iglesias' computer, police said.
"There were digital pictures that she would sort through and she noticed this picture and was alarmed by it and looked at some other pictures, found the picture of herself, recognized that it was in the bathroom and then went into the bathroom and found the recording device," Suffolk County Police Lt. Kevin Beyrer told Hall.
Iglesias' wife and sister were in court Tuesday but refused to comment.
Meantime, police continue to investigate the alleged secret recording. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Suffolk County police Third Squad at (631) 854-5352, or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS.
