L.I. Musician, Wife Homeless After Fire Destroys Mastic Beach Home
MASTIC BEACH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island musician is dreaming of a home for Christmas after his house and all his possessions went up in flames last weekend.
Bryan Clay lost everything after a fire gutted his Mastic Beach home on Dec. 8.
His wife Carol, who is an animal rescuer, is devastated. She was nursing 14 cats at the time of the fire. All of the felines perished in the blaze.

"That's the worst," Bryan Clay told 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera.
Clay also lost his entire collection of sheet music and instruments, including a unique left-handed guitar and a 1934 baby grand piano.
"My entire career as a musician over the past 20 years just gone in a flash," Clay said.
The Clays did not have homeowner's insurance.
They are now homeless and living temporarily at a friend's bed and breakfast in Westhampton.
Friends and community members in Eastern Suffolk have been rallying to try to help them get back on their feet.
