L.I. Boy, 11, Returns Home From School During Burglary
ROSLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (WCBS 880) -- Police are looking for two burglars who scared a Long Island boy after he came home from school.
Authorities say the 11-year-old boy had just returned to his family's home in Roslyn Heights. He was in the basement of the home when he heard noises upstairs, reports WCBS 880's Sophia Hall.
Soon, the boy was confronted by two men who had broken into the house through a back door.
One of the suspects told the boy to sit on the couch and not move as the pair stole jewelry and coins from the house.
The child was not injured during the robbery. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
