Knicks Iman Shumpert Pulls Out Of Dunk Contest Due To Knee Injury
NEW YORK (WFAN) – Due to a left knee injury, New York Knicks rookie Iman Shumpert won't be able to compete in the 2012 Slam Dunk Contest.
Shumpert's withdrawl means that sensation Jeremy Lin won't get a chance to assist on the dunk.
Lin will play in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday.
Shumpert missed time earlier this season of a sprained right knee ligament.
Utah's Jeremy Evans replaces Shumpert. Saturday's dunk contest will also feature Paul George of Indiana, Derrick Williams of Minnesota, Chase Budinger of Houston.
