NYPD Releases Sketch Of Man Wanted In Kissena Park Assaults
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has released a sketch of a man wanted in connection with three disturbing assaults in and around Kissena Park in Queens earlier this month.
Around 6:30 p.m. on June 10, police said the suspect grabbed a 50-year-old woman on a bicycle on Oak Avenue and tried to get her into the park. The man tried to talk to the victim as he touched himself over his clothes, police said. The woman broke free and fled.
Two days later, police said the same suspect walked up to a 24-year-old woman on Colden Street and Mulberry Avenue and started talking to her. He then hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, and grabbed her buttocks before touching himself over his clothing, police said. The victim ran off, police said.
On June 15 around 6:30 p.m., the same man grabbed a 41-year-old woman by the arms and tried to drag her into a backyard at 56th Avenue and 148th Street. The victim screamed, and that time, the suspect took off in a red car.
The suspect was described as Hispanic and about 40 years old, weighing about 200 pounds and standing about 6 feet tall, with a slim and muscular build. Police said he has black hair with some grey, and a tattoo of a red and green star on the back of his arm above the elbow.
