Kidnapping Victim Found In Garage Of NYPD Detective
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A seventeen year veteran detective of the Brooklyn gang unit is being questioned in connection to the discovery of a kidnapping victim in his garage.
The man was taken off of the street on Thursday and held for $75,000, according to sources.
Police searched the detective's home on Friday afternoon and discovered the victim tied-up in the garage.
Neighbors told 1010 WINS reporter Gary Baumgarten that they were shocked by the discovery.
"Everybody was shocked, but nobody knew nothing. We just saw them coming and going," said Gerard Sims.

The detective and two other men were questioned by internal affairs and Queens detectives, no charges have been filed.
