Kemba Walker To Throw Yankees' First Pitch Wednesday
NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) — UConn star Kemba Walker says he's a little nervous about appearing at Yankee Stadium.
Walker, who led UConn to its third national championship with a 53-41 win over Butler last week, has been asked to throw out the first pitch before Wednesday night's game between the Yankees and Baltimore Orioles.
The NCAA Tournament star says he's been practicing. His coach, Jim Calhoun — a Red Sox fan — threw out the first pitch at Fenway Park during a game between the Yankees and Red Sox on Saturday.
Walker says he "didn't think it was that serious at first, but it's serious."
He grew up a Yankees fan in the Bronx. The junior announced Tuesday that he would be entering this year's NBA draft.
Will Kemba reach the plate without bouncing it? Make your prediction in the comments below...
