Keefe To The City: Yankees Chat With Chris Shearn

Freddy Garcia lost again on Monday night and after wondering what would happen when Michael Pineda and Andy Pettitte are ready to return, it looks like Garcia is sorting things out for everyone. But Freddy isn't the only Yankees starter who is making future moves easier to decide.
Phil Hughes has been just as ineffective as Garcia and after an awful start to 2011 and an inconsistent comeback in the summer, Hughes has been disappointing for a full calendar year (and even longer if the you count the 2010 ALCS). The problem is he's still viewed as a starter, and should be the given the chance to be, but if he isn't getting it done, he won't have that chance once Pineda and Pettitte are ready to join the rotation.
Chris Shearn of YES Network joined me to talk about the middle of the order's inability to hit with runners in scoring position, the questions surrounding the rotation and to look around the AL East at the Red Sox and Rays.
