The NFL season is over and there's a real chance there won't be football next fall. But if Sunday's Super Bowl was the last game that we get to see over the next year or so, it was a good one.
With two storied franchises playing and the game being held at the magnificent Cowboys Stadium and the Black Eyed Pears performing at halftime, there was something for everyone as the game recorded 111.0 million viewers. It was the most-watched show in the history of American television and once again proved just how popular the NFL is going into what will likely be long and messy negotiations.
Neil Best, sports business and media columnist for Newsday, joined me to talk about the Super Bowl ratings, the pregame and halftime shows and what we might expect from the CBA negotiations.
