If the Rangers don't make the playoffs now, it will be because of an epic collapse. With the No. 7 or No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference nearly locked up, the Rangers control their own destiny with just a few weeks left in the regular season.
The Rangers have figured out how to score goals with 17 in their last three games and 36 in their last seven games, but there are still a few problems. Henrik Lundqvist has played in every game since Feb. 11, Sean Avery has become a routine healthy scratch for John Tortorella and despite the GM meetings last week, nothing is being done to try to ban head shots.
Brian Monzo, producer for WFAN and hockey writer for WFAN.com, joined me to talk about the Rangers as they prepare for the final nine games of the season.
