Kanye West To Open 21 'Pablo' Pop-Up Stores This Weekend, Including NYC, Boston
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Kanye West fans can buy a taste of "The Life of Pablo'' this weekend following the rapper-turned-fashion mogul's announcement of 21 pop-up stores worldwide that will be open just this weekend.
West tweeted a map with red dots indicating the stores' locations Wednesday night. Fourteen of the stores will be in major cities in the U.S., including New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Detroit and Los Angeles, among others.
International locations include pop-ups in London, Cape Town, Sydney, Melbourne, Berlin, Amsterdam and Singapore.
The exact locations of each pop-up will be released on West's website 24 hours before the stores open, Vogue reported.
West debuted his album, "The Life of Pablo," at the Yeezy Season 3 fashion show at Madison Square Garden earlier this year. The album includes a song called, "Famous," which caused controversy over a lyric where he called singer Taylor Swift a "bitch" and said he made her famous.
West appears to be expanding the pop-up store concept following a successful run at a New York City location in March. A recycled Levis jacket customized by West was on sale at the store for $400.
