Joe Johnson Starts For Nets In Game 3 Vs. Bulls
CHICAGO (CBSNewYork/AP) — Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Johnson is in the starting lineup for Thursday night's playoff game against the Chicago Bulls despite a nagging left foot injury.
Johnson aggravated the injury in the first quarter of the Bulls' 90-82 win Monday. The series is tied heading into Game 3 at the United Center.
Johnson was acquired in a trade with Atlanta last summer and averaged 16.3 points in his first season with the Nets. He had 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting in 39 minutes in Game 2.
He said Thursday morning he felt better, but wasn't sure if he would be able to play.
