JFK Airport Runway To Close For Repairs
NEW YORK (AP) -- One of Kennedy Airports four runways will be out of service for two weeks as crews install new concrete.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said the closing was scheduled to begin Thursday and was not expected to increase delays.
The agency said the airport's three other runways would handle the extra traffic.
The runway intersects with the airport's main airstrip, Bay Runway.
Work on Bay Runway was completed in June.
The repairs were part of a massive $376 million construction project of JFK Airport's runways.
