Flight To Paris Returned To JFK Over Cargo Door Lock Concerns
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A flight headed for Paris returned to John F. Kennedy International Airport Thursday night, after concerns about the cargo door latch on the plane.
Shortly after departure, the flight crew for Delta Flight 404 from JFK to Paris received an indication in the flight deck of a possible issue with the cargo door latching mechanism, according to the airline.
The plane landed safely, and maintenance technicians confirmed that the doors had been closed and locked all along, Delta said.
The flight was set to take off again late Thursday night.
The aircraft was a Boeing 777 with 222 passengers and 12 crewmembers.
