Jets' Fitzpatrick Has Sprained Knee, Report Says
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick reportedly has a sprained MCL in his left knee.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the results of Fitzpatrick's MRI on Monday morning. The injury is not considered to be serious, but it could play into whether the Jets decide to start Fitzpatrick on Sunday against the Rams, Schefter reported.
Fitzpatrick suffered the injury during the third quarter of Sunday's 27-23 loss at Miami when Dolphins defensive tackle Jordan Phillips rolled into his leg.

Bryce Petty then entered the game, completing both of his pass attempts for 19 yards before Fitzpatrick returned.
Petty would be the likely starter if Fitzpatrick is held out in Week 10. Geno Smith is out for the season with a torn ACL, and rookie Christian Hackenberg is considered to be a work in progress who is behind Petty on the depth chart.
Fitzpatrick was 17-of-28 passing for 193 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions against the Dolphins. For the season, he has completed 56.5 percent of his passes for 1,982 yards with eight touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
The Jets are 3-6 and in last place in the AFC East.
