Jets' Landry Fined For Horse-Collar Tackle

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — New York Jets safety LaRon Landry says he will appeal his fine by the NFL of $15,750 for a horse-collar tackle against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  The Jets went on to lose the game 27-10.

Landry says Friday he will not change the aggressive style of play that has made him one of the league's hardest-hitting players. He acknowledges he put his hand on the back of Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown's shoulder pads last Sunday, but did not pull him down.

Landry has three personal foul penalties in his last two games, and says he needs to be more "strategic," especially on plays near the sideline.

"I'm not trying to injure a guy, and not trying to play dirty," Landry says. "I'm just trying to make a play."
