Jets' Cromartie To QB Critic: 'I Will Smash UR Face In'
NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) -- Antonio Cromartie is at it again. The Jets cornerback threatened to "smash" Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck's "face in" during a Thursday night Twitter tussle.
Cromartie blasted both union and NFL leaders last week, something Hasselbeck took issue with.
"Somebody ask Cromartie if he knows what CBA stands for," Hasselbeck tweeted, a post he later deleted.
The Jets cornerback responded via his twitter account.
"Hey Matt if u have something to then say it be a man about it. Don't erase it. I will smash ur face in," Cromartie posted.
Hasselbeck tried to snuff out the not-so-social media exchange.
"Sorry for the joke man. No hard feelings. DB's & QB's have a hard time getting along I guess sometimes. lol," he wrote.
Cromartie took on both union and NFL leaders last week in the league's unresolved labor talks, saying they "need to get their (expletive) together and get it done."
With the collective bargaining agreement set to expire and little progress in negotiations, a potential lockout looms.
"You've got our head union reps acting like an (expletive), and they got their guys acting like them (expletive)," Cromartie told reporters.

"You don't get no information about nothing from the union or the owners," he said. "To tell you the truth, they need to get their damn minds together and get this (expletive) done and stop (complaining) about money. Money ain't nothing."
Earlier in January, Cromartie used the same obscenity about Tom Brady.
Cromartie is an impending free agent after his first season with the Jets.
